A Better Way to Care for Your Pet During Surgery
What Is Veterinary Laser Surgery?
Veterinary laser surgery uses a focused beam of light energy to cut, remove, or cauterize tissue. Rather than a traditional scalpel, the laser acts as a precise surgical instrument that interacts with tissue at the cellular level. This allows our veterinarians to perform many of the same procedures they would otherwise carry out conventionally, but with significantly less trauma to the surrounding tissue.
The result is a procedure that is gentler on your pet's body and a recovery that is often faster and more comfortable than with traditional surgery.

Procedures Commonly Performed with Laser Technology
Laser surgery can be applied to a wide range of soft tissue procedures. Some of the most common applications include mass and tumor removals, declaw procedures, eyelid corrections, oral surgeries, and certain skin procedures. In many cases, laser technology can be incorporated into procedures your pet already needs, providing the added benefits of reduced bleeding, swelling, and pain without requiring a separate surgery.
During your pet's consultation or pre-surgical appointment, our veterinarians will let you know whether laser surgery is appropriate for their specific procedure and discuss the benefits in the context of their individual health needs.
